Let's Stop Corruption at the Source

I was and I am against corruption in government, and my advocacy and cause is to- ‘STOP CORRUPTION At The Source!’ WALA KO NANGHILABOT SA PERSONAL LIFE SA MAYOR ONLY THIS THAT PERTAINS TO HIS POSITION IN RELATION TO HIS JOB IN THE GOVERNMENT THAT INCLUDES HIS HANDLING OF TAXPAYERS MONEY WHERE IT IS INCIDENTAL WHEN WE CHECK ON CORRUPTION AND WHO WOULD BE PRIMARILY RESPONSIBLE WITH REGARDS TO POSITION IN THE GOVT IT IS UNDENIABLE THAT THE MAYOR IS THE OFFICIAL AT THE TOP OF THE LOCAL GOVT UNIT AND IN POWER AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE. Hence, it cannot be avoided, and to investigate further on corruption if corruption was actually committed founded on what we have witnessed in Barangay Buenavista, Guihulngan where the unlawful act was actually committed by Mayor Reyes and what evidence credible enough for the public to believe we found out there are photographs, actual pictures not photoshop as evidence and so it is very clear to us that the mayor was the one responsible with regards to his position, in fact, we have witnesses as evidence. Examining and analyzing the evidences we found out that he was really the one ordering the unlawful act that did happen in Barangay Buenavista, Guihulngan.because he was actually there during the incident was happening. When we started or have moved on to guard our taxes as one of our aim he was there on the way because of his position. And the precedent incident in Barangay, Buenavista makes him vulnerable and so it is inevitable that he will surely be affected, that all fingers will point directly at him when we define and describe graft and corruption and the mayor doing such unlawful and punishable act under Philippine laws should be prosecuted and punished. Therefore, he is the official on focus. He is the official when we discuss corruption in Guihulngan.

WHY WE ARE AGAINST GRAFT AND CORRUPTION?

At certain points it is understandable that individuals working in the government will side with corrupt official for self-preservation or to protect their jobs for their own interest and advantage and furthermore for those people to side with the corrupt official because they have gained profits due to the official in power that helped them acquired a contract with the government and commission due to the transaction entered into by the bidder and the government official in power and the secrecy of such with regards to the documents signed and the amount of money released which will result into graft and corruption because there is no transparency in government transaction because the people did not demand for the transparency of government transaction. And that transaction that is not transparent to the public is personal, unfair and selfish of them making it. That is unacceptable when it comes to morality and to anti-corruption principles. Morality and anti-corruption principle is to think and care about the welfare of the people especially for those who cannot help themselves, and to think for those people who cannot eat three times a day and in regards to this to protect their interests in the government fund. These money from peoples’ taxes that have been wasted into corrupt government officials pockets and into unscrupulous individuals purse because of the graft and corruption act they have committed is one of the main factors that contributed to peoples’ poverty and why there is poverty and bad economy that affected the life of the people especially the poor and has made their life miserable, and that is also why we have insurgency problem. This is easy and simple to understand if a person cares about the poor and the country but if not and this person only thinks about for his own selfish interest thus he cannot understand the morality in government and the anti-corruption principles . When a person think about love of country, that means the people living in the country as well, in our case the Guihulnganons or the Filipinos and their life, especially the poorest of the poor, instantly this person will become unselfish, this person will gain a caring attitude, he will hate graft and corruption and then he can acquire morality and right principles for after all this people that he or we are concern about, THE REASONS WHY WE ARE AGAINST GRAFT AND CORRUPTION – not only that it is wrong and unlawful but it is a necessity in protecting public interest for the good of all, and the public as we understood are our kababayans, townspeople, friends, the no-blood relation and the blood related individuals and our family that we arise from our passivity and act, shun and oppose the corrupt government officials that are abusive and have abused their power and corrupted the government just for their own greedy, selfish, political and personal interests. And so because of that when realization strikes upon a person and morality in government and anti-crruption principles is understood, and enlightenment sets in the person then he will be fighting for his rights, guarding his taxes, demand righteous, honest governance and transparency in each and every government transaction and accounting report for government money spent by any government official out of the government fund, he will become meticulous and cautious in seeing government projects done well and genuinely completed. All because of a person’s love of country, love of people because of the love of God. The results of the person’s care and vigilance is the development of the city/municipality, the improvement of poor peoples’ lives and betterment of government officials governance, arising economy, peace and progressive people insignificant of whether the move against graft and corruption is political or non-political as long as it’s genuine concern for the public interest and in fighting against graft and corruption and the change to a better way and government is appropriate, commendable and exemplary . We are doing ourselves a favor when we do this, so please come and support us and we will end the miserable life especially of the poor. “that they may have life, and may have it more abundantly.” - John 10:10 (Douay-Rheims Bible) into a life worth living for. We all want to see our economy arising and better and our lives peaceful and progressive and our place beautiful and developed, and our environment clean and green, etc. Me and you can make a different. Let us help each other in fighting graft and corruption for the sake of all of us and our country especially to the poor and the poorest of the poor. Let's go, act and care.
